Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics is the academic wing of Maya Entertainment Ltd.(MEL), a premier 3D Animation and Visual Effects house based in Mumbai, India and promoted by Internationally renowned producer-director Mr.Ketan Mehta and acclaimed film actress Ms.Deepa Sahi.

A vision realized upon the ever growing dearth of quality manpower in the computer graphics and entertainment industry took shape in 2001 with the decision of opening up a division to train and mould fresh talent into quality artists and animators for Maya The Magic Shop, MEL's Visual Effects and Animation division.

Starting with an in-house educational facility within MEL and one centre in the north Indian city of Chandigarh, MAAC has now matured to a strong force of 38 centres across India with ambitious plans of leaping across our national boundaries soon.

MAAC provides education in 3D Animation, Visual Effects and Post-Production techniques duly supported by live projects, seminars by Industry professionals and innovative workshops organized from time to time. We take great pride in our intuitive philosophy of evolving over strong conceptual knowledge which enables us to focus more on a talent's conceptual base before evolving on to its practical sciences.

Hence, our teaching philosophy and course design has been designed in such a way so as to strengthen one's foundation skills before moving on to the practical tools and software. We believe and have observed from our experience, both in a production environment and an educational environment, that everyone has a potentially creative side and if rightly crafted, can turn even the most unlikely individual into a creative artist.

We not only teach you how to do it, we also teach you how to think and innovate for the most intricate tasks in this ever so creative and addictive field. The end product of such a philosophy is an artist who can think creative and apply his conceptual knowledge to almost any software tool and not a mere software operator who is crippled by limited knowledge of a commercial product.

We are Education Training Partner (ETP) of discreet for their 3D Animation product 3ds max and for their Visual Effects product Combustion. Our technical staff comprises of industry certified trainers and professionals who derive from their vast experience in production.

Our centres across India feature the best in infrastructure and equipment with a philosophy of continually upgrading the same to support the latest and greatest in the CG and Visual Arts industry today.
