Static Harmonic & Power Factor Correction equipment : Power Factor correction allows power distributed as its maximum efficiency. Power Factor Correction can be implemented in two easy ways. One uses only Capacitors and the other is Harmonic Filters. Capacitors are used to compensate for displacement power factor in industrial and commercial facilities with electrical load having low harmonics. De-tuned harmonic filters consisting of inductors and capacitors are used to provide factor correction and improve power quality where displacement and distortion harmonics are present. The system comprises of multi -stage switching filters and is offered in a panel formation with the number of steps designed as per customer's requirements. Each stage is switched by Static Switches that are controlled to totally eliminate switching transients thereby increasing Capacitor / Filter life. Extremely last operation is another feature that enables power factor correction to be achieved when fast varying loads are to be compensated.
